Olivia is absolutely right.
Cheaper than most, but it's a British tea room, so not a big selection. Food is decent, and the owner is nice.
Oh, it has been so many years since I've been here. I moved away and haven't found anything like it where I am now. The owner is so kind and gracious. Amazing tea, British meals, and hospitality.
Michael is always friendly and the food has been great every time we've gone
If you're looking for a proper pork pie, this is the place.
Great spot for a bit of authentic British fare in a cozy spot. I had a lovely afternoon tea and my hubby tried the haggis and mash as well as the steak and potato pie. Everything was delicious. The lemon curd is homemade and absolutely to die for! The owner, Michael, is very friendly and welcoming and the waitress was very attentive. Can't wait to visit again.
I'll definitely be back, and I live over an hour away! The gentleman who runs this place is extremely friendly and accommodating. There's a gorgeous garden out back with plenty of seating for larger groups. We had English tea and an assortment of sweets/pastries and loved all of it. If you're looking for something nice to pair with the tea, try the scone with lemon curd. The menu seems traditionally English which is a fun change of pace from other cafes. Coming here is an awesome way to spend part of a day!
We moved back after living in England for a few years and this is authentic British food. The scones were amazing and the pies and sausage rolls were delicious. Highly recommend!!
The best tea experience in frederick. Small business and you're treated like old friends. The service is amazing & food is tasty
fish and chips and gooey peas, are are good i literally could've eaten 2 orders. my women seemed content with tea tasting with little sandwiches / pastries. kept them talking amongst themselves. i was actually able to hold my granddaughter and talk to Michael. five stars
Service was perfect. Owners are friendly. The backyard garden is peaceful and lovely. There was a point in the tea service where I shut my eyes, just so I could drown out everything but the bite in my mouth. I'll come back a lot.
Adorable, charming little spot with a friendly owner and delicious home made treats.
Had a wonderful Britain experience with the ambience, food and owner. The owner made us feel at home, service dog friendly, and delicious food.
An incredible cute little sit down area. Good prices. For the full tea experience call a day ahead. The owner makes it all. The pies, pastys, and scones where all delicious. The tea was excellent. Amazing hosts. Loved it!
Absolutely delightful afternoon tea. Very traditional, delicious, and really nice service. Thank you!
Great afternoon tea. Food and service were excellent. Nice atmosphere.
Wife and I had lived in England for a few years and tea houses were one of the things we missed. We decided to try a couple and we started here. I ordered a small quiche and regretted it almost immediately. I will only order the large one from now on. The food is made fresh and I simply couldn't get enough of it. It is a relaxed environment, no fast food, so plan on it being a longer affair. The owner is really nice. We sat down inside and he talked to us for a couple minutes while our scones were baking. He encouraged us to enjoy the seating in the garden for the last half of our meal and it was great, very relaxing.Final thoughts. If you are looking for a quick meal, this is not the place to go. Come here to relax and enjoy time with good friends and good food.
The selection of regional meals was wonderful. We had the Shepherd's pie and it was equal to the best I've ever had in Ireland. The tea was excellent and the same brand I enjoyed there. Then the homemade scones with cream and jam--- Yum!
Warm and cozy place with reasonable priced British menu and friendly service. Great chicken and mushroom pie in individual serving size. An ideal place for friends to catch up with a pot of tea while shopping in downtown Frederick.
The food is really good! Both their tea and coffee are excellent! The girl who waited on us is really sweet! The owner is very friendly and welcoming! Well worth going to! Plus it was nice to sit down and eat and NOT have to wear a mask! God bless them and their staff! 😊
We had a wonderful afternoon with a pot of tea, delicious scones, Cornish pasties, sausage rolls, and other treats. The owner is so nice and the service was excellent! Can't wait to go again for a full proper afternoon tea.. you can't go wrong with a visit!
The tea is extremely rare and cannot be matched with any other tea really a great place to visit
Highly recommended if you are a tea drinker and homemade pastries. The cafe is owned by a very hospital couple. Drinking some British tea in authentic British cups and saucers, with a peaceful sound background of two water fountains in a cozy backyard make everything perfect to enjoy your time there. The garden is beautifully manicured and shows good care behind it. When we were leaving, the owner was getting ready to make ready the dough for the next day's pastries. Good feeling!
Micheal is a wonderfully pleasant host! The garden/patio is a very nice place to enjoy a good meal.
This place is truly exceptional. Everything we tried was tasty and authentic (and we tried a lot), the owner was incredibly friendly. The lemon curd is some of the best I've had. The garden out back is peaceful and so lovely. It was so good we went back the next day! Check it out!!
